We work in Denmark for children between 0 and 17-years-old who are placed in-care, and for socially abandoned and vulnerable young people up to 29-years-old. We provide them with the tools they need to lead a stronger life and help equip them to meet the challenges the world brings their way.

We prepare them for adulthood and enhance their chances for receiving an education, getting a job and ultimately become independent and self-supporting and supportive people.

We are responsible for a wide range of projects, camps and events in which the children can participate. Our focus is to strengthen both social and personal competences.

Last year, 9404 in-care children and socially abandoned youths directly benefitted from our work.

Our organization depends on funds from different Fundations and in particular from revenue provided by two annual lotteries, which are sold primarily by school students or younsters from voluntary associations / sports clubs. The lotteries are not only an important financial contribution to our humanitarian work, but also to local communities all over Denmark (schools, sport clubs and voluntary activities).

MORE ABOUT OUR WORK

The in-care children are typically staying with foster families or in institutions. The socially abandoned youths either are receiving, or have received, help from a municipality via a contact person or some type of personal program designed to facilitate their transition to adulthood.

Most of the socially abandoned youths we work with have previously been in-care as children.
